Flamingo is Hollowmere's balance sensor — a meditative wading artist who reads deep water through vibration and reflection. Farm Town measures irrigation in ledgers; Flamingo reads the source directly, standing perfectly still on one leg at the mirror-water edge, feeling the pulse of the currents through the shallows. The grace isn't vanity. It's how they listen.

The stillness is not passivity — it is the most active form of attention. Flamingo appears fragile and is in fact incredibly tough, adapted to hours in mineral-heavy, coolant-laced water, temperature swings, and slick stone. Along the irrigation line, Flamingo's vibration sense and Pig's nose form a partnership no supply-chain problem can hide from.

When the rhythms went chaotic, stillness stopped giving answers. The Undertow is Flamingo's teacher — the enormous old catfish pressure-keeper who taught them to read still water from below — now dragging all water into one bottom current. The way to win is Flamingo's oldest lesson: not to overpower the current, but to find the one still beat inside it.
