Boilerplate

Short

Wondernauts is a 1–4 player local co-op action platformer from Harmonic Engine where the world mutates mid-level. Short, dense stages, rescue-based co-op, and reality-bending Wonder Rifts across 26 biomes.

Medium

Wondernauts is a 1–4 player local co-op action platformer from Harmonic Engine. You are a Wondernaut — a small repair robot — walking into worlds that are actively malfunctioning. Levels are short and dense in the Mario tradition, but Wonder Rifts rewrite stages mid-run, and downed teammates become ghosts that the party reels back with a rescue lasso. Across 26 biomes, 250+ levels, and 22 Controller bosses — each one a transformed local waiting to be brought back — the expedition collects 40 Wonder Badges that remix how the whole kit plays. Coming to PC and Steam Deck; a free demo covers the Ancient Village and Heartroot Valley.

Long

Wondernauts is a 1–4 player local co-op action platformer from Harmonic Engine, set inside an ancient physics engine that sings — and has started to sing wrong.

Players are Wondernauts: small repair robots chartered to fix the Engine world by world. The platforming is tight and immediate — run, jump, and three core actions (Stomp, Strike, Bolt) — across short, dense stages in the Mario tradition. The twist is instability: Wonder Rifts mutate levels mid-run, shuffling gravity, terrain, and even which of your equipped Wonder Badges stay active.

Co-op is built around rescue rather than restart. Downed players become ghosts; teammates fire the rescue lasso and reel them back mid-fight. The kit scales cleanly from solo to four players on one screen, with drop-in/drop-out throughout.

The campaign spans 26 biomes and 250+ levels, from the Ancient Village to the Harmonic Manifold. Each biome is held in malfunction by a Controller — 22 bosses that were someone once — and recovering them yields Wonder Badges: 40 equipable abilities, boosters, and co-op badges that bend the rules further. An in-game Field Guide documents every biome, boss, enemy, and being the expedition meets.

Wondernauts is coming to PC (Steam) with Steam Deck support. A free demo — the Ancient Village and Heartroot Valley, ending at The Graft — is available now. Release date to be announced.
