Llama is the plateau's shepherd — tending what remains of the highland ecology, monitoring the monolith sensors, and carrying supplies between zones. The Wasteland Plain used to be verdant grassland fed by Hollowmere water; Llama's family belonged to that living route before sourcorn quotas and the Hoarder's diversions turned water into a controlled resource.

Llama has been carrying things for others their entire life — supplies, messages, medicine, equipment — and accepts it without resentment because they genuinely enjoy the work. But the plain did not simply dry up; it was drained by a system that called diversion efficiency. Endurance is no longer enough when the route itself has been stolen.

When the monoliths went haywire and the winds turned dangerous, Llama kept making the supply run. The Burden — a petrified mechanical camel holding the last moisture in channels that feed Farm Town — is Llama's first traveling partner, the older porter who taught every route and rhythm. Llama has walked past that machine-form on every trip for years, not knowing. Its gravity field still moves at the partner's walking pace.

• Hex — Llama hears Hex out, then asks one plain question that collapses the whole overcomplicated structure — Hex hates how effective this is.
• Wolf — They walk mountain trails together in comfortable silence, sharing a plateau-dweller's understanding of wind and patience.
• Chameleon — Chameleon walked beside Llama invisibly for hours until Llama said, 'You can walk visibly. I don't mind.'
