Survey notes

A factory-farm village built where the Engine's organic supply chain narrows into cobblestone roads, wooden barns, metal silos, and freight platforms. Sourcorn rows grow under quota lamps — an engineered green-gold crop whose compounds keep the Engine's coolant alive and stable, but which is poisonous to animals unless processed. Those crops need Hollowmere water to grow and Flower Canyon bees to pollinate them. Farm Town is the depot where nectar, sourcorn compounds, and irrigation output become shippable coolant stabilizer.

Pig was raised here among food stalls, ration counters, and market ledgers, and learned the hard lesson that abundance can still be made cruel when someone controls distribution. Under the malfunction, the supply chain turns authoritarian: gates sort crops by corrupted quota, conveyor barns reject inefficient produce, bee routes are blocked by false flower beacons, and the silos overflow with toxic sourcorn while the Engine starves.

The Hoarder is scarcity logic given machinery. Farm Town is where the Across branch stops being a sequence of natural places and becomes an ecological argument: water from Hollowmere, growth from Bamboo, bees from Flower Canyon, and Pig's ethic of shared food, all against the Silence's insistence that hoarding is safety.
