Survey notes
The Engine's manufacturing center and plasma-source interface, where components were built and old ones recycled. The plasma is not merely hazardous material — it is the Engine's charged smart-matter and rift power stream, shapeable into any component when the source is stable. Clank worked here for most of their operational life, maintaining the forges, the worker safety systems, and the old routines that kept the native Flux Nautilus calm around the plasma feed.
Now the forges run in overdrive, building random components at maximum heat, while the Silence has forced the Flux Nautilus into a containment spiral — an ancient plasma-flow regulator, native to the Engine, made to clamp the coolant lines and squeeze the power source it once kept breathing in safe rhythm. The Silence did not import this guardian. It imprisoned a friend.
Plasma Forge is the Down branch capstone. Defeating the Nautilus does not extinguish the fire; it frees the creature from panic and teaches the plasma source to flow in rhythm again. The repaired pulse releases the Flux Harmonic, the deep branch's root — and the Engine's heartbeat can finally carry music without burning the systems above it.
