Field summary

Tempo-manipulation and reconstruction descent; holographic glitch enemies, local slow/haste/freeze/reverse rules, and proof-fragment room rebuilds.

Survey notes

The Engine's conscious memory: decision logs, communications, administrative records. Halls of crystalline storage media, holographic terminals, and floating platform grids that organize information spatially — a library crossed with a server tower. Hex spent most of their operational life here, designing the indexing sigils and harmonic search routines. Where the Choral Caverns store what the world felt like, the Archives store who the Engine talked to and what it decided — including the records of Aria's tenure as Conductor.

The malfunction makes data physical. Corrupted files manifest as glitch entities, deleted records leave visible holes in the space, and the search system begins retrieving memories that belong to Aria: emotional imprints, fragmented logs, the sound of someone crying.

This is where the truth is found. The caverns tell you what the music sounded like; the summit tells you how the Engine worked; the Archives tell you who silenced it and why. After Hex uncovers the fragments, the mission changes from repair to liberation — and the Paradox guards the door with the Silence's oldest argument: that the question must never be asked.
